The Payson Community Garden was organized in February 2012 by the Payson community through cooperative efforts of the Church of the Nazarene and others in the community. The Church of the Nazarene donated land usage and continues to support the garden year round. Each year the Community Garden has provided an increased tonnage of fresh produce to the food banks and various organizations that provide food to the community. In the 2015 summer gardening season, the Community Garden reached its goal of 12,000 pounds of donated fresh produce.
